FlagSlateTerms

Terms of service

These terms cover your use of FlagSlate at flagslate.com, a flag football playbook maker run by an independent developer ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. Questions go to hello@flagslate.com.

Using FlagSlate

You can use the playbook maker without an account. Plays you make that way are saved in your browser on your device, and you are responsible for keeping a backup with Export backup.

An account is optional. Give a real email address you can read, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or use FlagSlate with permission from a parent or guardian.

Do not use FlagSlate to break the law, to store content you have no right to use, to interfere with the service or other people's accounts, or to send automated traffic that puts load on it.

Your plays

Plays, playbooks and notes you create belong to you. You let us store, copy and display them only as needed to run FlagSlate for you, for example to save them to your account and show them on your other devices. The example diagrams on this site are originals that you may adapt and print for your own team.

No rules or coaching advice

FlagSlate is a drawing and printing tool. Five-player diagrams do not follow the rules of any particular league, and nothing on the site is a promise that a play is legal, safe or effective. Check your league's rules and decide distances, contact and assignments with your team.

Season pass

The season pass costs $19 USD once, plus any tax shown at checkout. It raises your account limits to 200 plays and 20 playbooks for four months from the time the payment is confirmed. If you buy a pass while one is active, the new pass starts when the current one ends, and one pass can wait in line at a time. A pass does not renew automatically. Pricing lists what free accounts include.

Payments are handled by Creem, which acts as merchant of record and is the seller on your receipt. Creem's own terms apply to the payment itself.

When a pass ends or is refunded, your plays are not deleted. You can still view, edit, print and export them, but you cannot add plays or playbooks above the free limits.

Refunds

If you ask within 14 days of paying, we refund the full price of a pass, no reason needed. Email hello@flagslate.com from the address on your account. The refund is made through Creem to your original payment method and ends the pass that payment bought. After 14 days we decide refund requests case by case, unless the law where you live gives you more. A chargeback or payment dispute ends the pass that payment bought.

Changes and availability

We work to keep FlagSlate available and your saved plays safe, and we keep backups of account data, but we cannot promise the service will always be available or free of errors. If we ever plan to stop running FlagSlate, we will email account holders in advance so they can export their plays.

We may change features or these terms. When a change matters to people with an active pass, we will email them before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.

Ending your account

You can stop using FlagSlate at any time. To delete your account and the plays saved with it, email us from the address you signed up with. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why by email unless the law prevents it.

Liability

FlagSlate is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law where you live does not allow us to limit.
